The Hampshire contingent will bring a chocolate bomb, rice salad and gammon joint.Chris is making Coronation Chicken, home-made bread/rolls and will bring strawberries.
Think Sue is bringing new boiled tatties general salad stuff etc.
Kathy says she will make cakes (Lemon Drizzle…..yuuuummmmy)
See You All There…… !!!
- Family PicnicThis is more of a challenge and would obviously have to be a summer jaunt to a country park , cliff top or a nice beach
- Petworth HouseGerry and I have driven through Petworth many times and have said it would be nice to walk the town as well as visit the house.
- ?
Thank you for arranging it. It was a lovely day, the only fault I had with it was that it was not long enough!!!!!!! Perhaps we should all go on holiday together????????
Sue just pointed me in this direction! Yes it was a lovely day. Don’t know about holidaying together though!!!! Although we will soon have enough in the kitty to rent a cottage somewhere……………..could do a Xmas weekend??
Chocolate bomb sound good. YUM YUM Sue
It was great getting together. The bomb went down well but so did the strawberries. Must admit I was a bit concerned that you and Gerry might have started wrestling over them.
Took me ages to cool down when we got home. Think I may have absorbed a little too much sunshine.
Thanks for all the books. I now have enough reading material to keep me going for a week or two.
It was great getting together. We’ll have to start planning the next one and make it soon.
I am making the rolls/bread so we are ok there
Those rolls were scrummy. So was the Coronation Chicken even if Sue made like one of the cast of “Mars Attacks” when she found the banana.
Didn’t we strike lucky with the weather. I think we had a cracking day. It was nice that Joan was there too.
I think we should plan another before the year is out.
Good idea. Don’t forget to get Gerry to send me the recipe for the Bomb please. Yes the weather was exceptionally hot as it has also been for the last 2 days now! Mission control here is like a sauna. We did have some rain and thunder today though it hasn’t cleared the air any. It’s good practice for Greece.
I’m not getting many strawberries still as something is making nightly manoeuvres under the netting! Whatever it is hasn’t found the blueberries yet!
It was a fantastic day, even with the banana! I can’t believe I put something that disgusting in my mouth!!I would also like a copy of the recipe for the bomb please, it was scrumptious.Bob has some very strange sunburn, two thirds of his face is burnt, with very marked creases round the panda eyes. He only had a little bit of the shade from the parasol. Didn’t Kathy look elegant!
